FAQs

Where are you based?

At my clinic at Cowdray Park Therapy Rooms in Midhurst, West Sussex or online via Zoom.

When are you available?

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays in person at my room in Midhurst or via Zoom.

Can I see you urgently?

I normally require two weeks advance notice to book an initial consultation. However, if your need is urgent than please contact me for immediate availability if possible.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You contact me directly, but your GP may have suggested you seek my help.

Will you contact my GP?

Therapy is a confidential and collaborative process.  I will be asking for your doctor’s details but would only contact him/her should you present yourself as needing urgent medical care. This will be with your agreement.

Do you make detailed records of our sessions?

Some minimal notes during our initial consultation will be taken.  I ensure all notes are strictly anonymized and kept confidential adhering to the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

What happens if I decide to leave therapy?

It is important that we work towards an ending together. In the case of open-ended therapy, I suggest we work with a period of notice which we can both agree.

Do you accept private health insurance?

Currently I do not work with private health care insurers.

Do you work with couples or children?

I am trained specifically in adult psychotherapy therefore I do not work with couples or children and adolescents.

What happens if you can’t help me with my specific issue?

If I feel that you require specialist help, I will signpost you to an appropriate professional.
